Documents on transport cooperation of Turkmenistan with foreign partners have been signed
A solid package of bilateral documents was signed today by the heads of state transport agencies and enterprises of Turkmenistan with foreign partners and heads of foreign companies at the conference “International Transport and Transit Corridors: interconnection and development” in Ashgabat.
The Agency “Turkmen Railways” and the Chinese Civil Engineering and Construction Corporation signed a Memorandum of Understanding on projects for the development, modernization and electrification of the railway infrastructure of Turkmenistan. Also, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with this corporation by JSC “Railways”.
Turkmenistan Airlines has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the development of cooperation in the field of maintenance, repair, as well as cargo transportation with the German company Lufthansa Consulting GmbH.
The closed Joint Stock Company “Merchant Marine” has signed an agreement with the Kazakhstan limited liability Company “Port Kuryk” on cooperation in the field of maritime transport. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the International Seaport of the city of Turkmenbashi and the joint-stock company “Uztemirelcontainer” of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The Balkan Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of shipbuilding with China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC). The Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of international freight transportation with the Association of Freight Forwarders of Afghanistan (AAFCO). Also, various agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed between private transport companies of Turkmenistan with foreign partners.
